Regardless of where you live you must choose a STATE and COUNTRY option when completing your address or the application will show this information incomplete.

Academic Information
International Students: TOEFL or IELTS SCORES ARE REQUIRED. Your application will not be considered complete unless your TOEFL or IELTS scores are entered.

Previous Degrees
Please use 'Institution 1' for your undergraduate degree information. You will be able to upload 1 transcript PER institution in MyRed. 'Institution 2' should be used for your Master's degree information - if applicable - or other institutions.

Area of Interest
Choose a first research area of interest. A second research area of interest is optional.

Supporting Files
Upload your personal statement*, Resume/CV, abstracts or other supporting information in .pdf format. Do not upload your transcripts.

*Personal Statement – Effective personal statements often include information about the applicant's past research experience, their long-term research/career goals, why they are interested in Nebraska Chemistry, information on potential faculty that they may want to work with, explanation of their fit to those research groups, and any other information that the applicant feels will be valuable for the admissions committee to understand why the applicant wants to pursue their graduate degree in the Nebraska Chemistry program. While there is no strict page limit to the personal statement, we suggest the personal statement be ~2 pages in length.

Letters of Recommendation – Three letters of recommendation are required. Please contact us via graduate@unl.edu if a recommender has difficulties uploading the letter to the application website portal.

On your application, please identify up to four faculty members you are interested in working with for your research.
