Bravo Joseph Yesselman

Joseph Yesselman, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, has earned a Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) award from the National Science Foundation for his project "Determining The Fundamental Rules of RNA Tertiary Contact Formation".

The prestigious award supports early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

As an RNA structural biologist, he leads a research group that strives to utilize RNA's unique structural properties to design new nanomachines for therapeutic, engineering, and basic science applications.
