Robert Powers, a Charles Bessey Professor in the Department of Chemistry, was elected a full member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society.
Founded in 1886, the international, multidisciplinary organization has nearly 60,000 members in over 500 chapters in the U.S., Canada and other countries. It is dedicated to research excellence, promoting public engagement with science, and fostering the next generation of researchers.
Powers leads a research group and is director of the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication (NCIBC) Systems Biology Core.
