Aidoo receives ACS award for leadership

Emmanuel Aidoo, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, received the 2025 Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Scholars Recognition Program award from the American Chemical Society (ACS).

The program recognizes talented graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in the chemical sciences who demonstrate leadership in mentoring, promotion of inclusion and belonging, and promotion of research safety.

Aidoo is a member of Catherine Eichhorn's lab. His research is in using synthetic molecules to probe RNA, focusing on how fluorogenic molecules interact with RNA aptamers. He aims to become a researcher in chemical biology.
