HP 5890/5972 GC-MS

The instrument consists of a 5890 Series II Gas Chromatograph, with a model 5972 mass-selective detector. A liquids autosampler is available for use. The mass spectrometer can be set up to operate in either EI or CI mode. A mass-spectra database (EI spectra only) is available with the data analysis software. This is currently the only hands-on GC-MS in the department, and serves the GC-MS needs of a variety of researchers throughout the University.
